The Story of Pastors Royce & Dionne Goree

Sometimes God expands a vision by expanding the family entrusted to carry it.

​

For years, Pastor Dionne Jackson—now Pastor Dionne Goree—led the charge of Declare Victory, stewarding a ministry born from prayer and built through faith, sacrifice, discipleship, service, and an unwavering love for God's people.

She had learned how to lead, build, pray, teach, encourage, and carry the vision God had placed in her heart. Yet, even while the work was growing, God was writing another chapter—one she could not have planned for herself.

God graciously sent her love, partnership, and a covering equipped and qualified to help build what comes next.

​

His name was Pastor Royce Goree.

Two people with their own journeys.

Their love story wasn't simply about finding companionship. It became the joining together of purpose, experience, leadership, ministry, and vision.

​

Pastor Royce brought with him years of pastoral leadership, having previously pastored Victorious Church. Pastor Dionne brought the legacy and foundation of Declare Victory—a ministry she had faithfully stewarded for years.

​

Together, they discovered that God wasn't asking either of them to abandon what He had already built through their individual lives.

He was bringing those experiences together for what He wanted to build next.

When Two Stories Met

In 2023, Pastor Royce Goree and Pastor Dionne Jackson met, and what began as a connection soon developed into courtship.

And, in time, two lives becoming one.

When Two Stories Met

Marriage changed more than their names and relationship status. It created a new ministry partnership.

Pastor Dionne no longer had to envision the next chapter of Declare Victory alone. Pastor Royce joined the DV family with a heart to serve, cover, strengthen, build, and help carry the vision forward.

Today, Pastors Royce and Dionne Goree stand together as one unit, believing God has empowered them as a team to take Declare Victory into its next season.

Their individual strengths complement one another. Their experiences have prepared them. Their faith anchors them. And their shared commitment to Jesus Christ keeps the mission bigger than either of them.

This is not about one person standing in front while another stands behind.

They are building together.

Victory City represents a new chapter and an expanding vision—a place where prayer, worship, biblical teaching, discipleship, leadership development, family, community, evangelism, and service can come together.

Pastors Royce and Dionne believe the next level of Declare Victory isn't simply about becoming bigger.

It's about reaching farther, discipling deeper, loving stronger, developing more leaders, serving more people, and creating opportunities for others to discover and fulfill their Kingdom assignments.

​

The vision that God began through prayer continues to unfold.

​

And now, they carry it together.

Love. Life. Victory.

Their story represents three words that have become inseparable:

  • LOVE. LIFE. VICTORY.

  • Love brought them together.

  • Life gave them individual experiences, lessons, victories, losses, wisdom, and testimonies to bring into their union.

  • And Victory is the assignment they now carry together.

  • What began with Victorious Church and what grew through Declare Victory is now preparing for another expression of ministry:

Two Have Become One

  • One marriage.

  • One team.

  • One faith.

  • One Kingdom.

  • One mission.

Pastors Royce and Dionne Goree have become one in Love, one in Life, and one in Victory.

Their story is still being written, and so is the story of Declare Victory.

The invitation now extends to you:

  • Come pray with us.

  • Come grow with us.

  • Come serve with us.

  • Come make disciples with us.

  • Come help us carry the Gospel beyond the walls and into communities, cities, and nations.

  • There is more work to do.

  • There are more people to love.

  • There are more testimonies waiting to be told.

  • And there are still people who have not heard.
